It’s been too long since I posted some pictures of my son on here. I actually need to take some even newer ones, but this one of me getting him to smile is classic. His coy little smile is the so funny.

I like to call him spaghetti head because his hair is like a bowl of spaghetti with all of his curls and crazy hair just like his Dad and Granddad Wallace.

I took this picture around Halloween of last year and I think it’s an awesome picture. I need to get out do more of this. I also need to remember my tripod so I can be in the picture as well. Doh!

Shaima was a bridesmaid at a wedding I documented around 3 years ago and has stalked me every since and told me that if she every gets married she would have me be the photographer and sure enough she did. It was a fun and intimate wedding with the toasts being my favorite part.

Hung out the other night with Zack Arias and three other photographers to get learned on some flash photography. Had an amazing time and learned just how much more I have to learn. Zack is an amazing guy. A very humble dude and turned me on to NewCastle beer and The xx’s.

My New Brand and Website!

Finally! It’s finally finished and I am so glad you are here to check out the new pad for my pictures. For the past several months I have been working with Lara Casey and Emily Ley at Making Brands Happen as well as with Flosites to bring this brand to life and they hit the ball out of the park. We have had easily hundreds of emails and communications to bring this all together. It doesn’t just stop with a logo and website; it extends to my new business cards and collateral that really make what I deliver to my clients that much more fun and enjoyable.

The driving force behind this new brand was really making this business my own and not a template. The second driving force was rethinking what I give my clients. In the past I gave them DVDs of their images and an album if they ordered it. I just don’t like the idea of people getting a DVD and then having to put that in their computer and then seeing their pictures. Because of that, I have put a lot of effort into rethinking what I deliver with my digital files to try and get my clients to enjoy their images right out of the box. I have come up with some really cool ideas that I think my clients are going to be pretty impressed with.

I just want to say a big THANK YOU to Lara Casey and Emily Ley as well as the entire staff at Flosites for their patience and all of their help with making this happen. I can’t wait to start blogging on this new platform.

Nicholas + Katie | A Dallas Engagement

Nicholas and Katie are super hip and super fun! I met them in uptown Dallas at their favorite place to grab a bite to eat and we just walked around after that. THEN we headed over to the Trinity River area and Katie showed me a park over there that at first I just wasn’t sure if we could do anything there, but it ended up being one of the best places of the day. Love these pictures.

Sarah + John | Four Seasons Hotel Wedding

This was one of my last weddings of the year and certainly one of my favorite. A prior client of mine, Lauren, is the sister of the groom and referred me to them to shoot their wedding as well. I love referrals. I am always extremely honored to get a referral from someone. Sarah and John had an awesome wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel in Houston, TX and it was also fun to see all the family faces from the prior wedding. They made me feel very welcome.

I have included a lot of great images in this post, but two of my favorite are the ones of Sarah putting the necklace that John got her back in the box. She was being so careful with it and she was just so proud of it. Weddings where the couple are just so obviously in love make my job so easy and it always makes for great memories for my clients. There are so many great moments from that night, but I also had a pretty unique experience the next morning when I was leaving the Four Seasons. I left at 5am and I was waiting for the valet to bring my car when a group of young adults walked out dressed really weird and it just seemed out of place. Finally, I saw the belt one of them was wearing and it said, “Party Rocker”; it was LFMAO, the band that sings Party Rocker. I just stood there like I didn’t know who they were and watched them talk to the rest of their crew. Pretty cool experience. The whole weekend was awesome!
